The annual Nautical Research Guild Conference gathers members and
non-members from the United States and other nations for a weekend
of technical, social, and business meetings. Topics discussed are
similar to those presented in the Nautical Research Journal, and
include ship model building related subjects, maritime research,
and nautical history. In addition, field trips in the area of the
conference provide pleasing opportunities to observe historic and
current maritime locations and activities.
Vendors of new and antiquarian marine books, ship modeling materials,
plans, and tools are present to meet the needs of participants. The
conferences are held in different cities each year, usually in the fall.
