Dear Nautical Research Guild Member: The Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) has adopted a reciprocal admissions program as a benefit for the $100-and-up members of its member institutions. This card, when presented with your NRG membership card at a participating CAMM institution, will entitle you to free admission. CAMM museums (with the exception of the Smithsonian Institution by agreement) have been encouraged to honor the cards. All participating museums offer free admission to the cardholder; many others offer additional admission benefits. We suggest you call ahead to find out their particular reciprocal membership privileges. The Council of American Maritime Museums exists to uphold, promote, and further the welfare and endeavors of maritime museums in North America. CAMM works to ensure that high professionalism standards are maintained in the preservation and interpretation of maritime history, encourages cooperation between its members in matters such as research and loan exhibits, and promotes public awareness of member institutions. We hope you enjoy this benefit of membership at your museum. Sincerely, Donald C. Dressel Director, NRG |
