Thermopylae by Norman McGill
This Thermopylae lost her masts and rigging in Hurricane Wilma a few years ago. The crew managed to tow her to a nearby port using her lifeboats
Most of the crew signed off once the ship was in drydock but some stayed to assist in her refitting
It took over two years to get everything back together but slowly and surely the Thermopylae started to look like her old self again.
Lines are in place and the sails have been bent on and a new crew is training for the relaunch of this seagoing monarch.
New masts, new rigging and several new sails and now she is ready to join the Cuty Sark in the race to bring tea from China to London.
